Requesting
Your Prayers
It’s been more then three months since
our last (supposedly monthly) newsletter was posted.
And boy, what challenging months they were!
Two people in our Judaic Art Kits’ family have
taken ill. Nancy Frech, who has sewn
thousands of our Siddur Covers for the past six years,
and Judy Zaretzky, who joined us
two years ago to create new designs for our pattern
folders, have both been diagnosed with cancer and
are now going through painful treatments to battle
it.
If you, like me, believe in the power of prayer, I
ask you to add these beautiful women to your prayers
and Me Sheberach list (Judy Zaretzky: Ita Yehudit
daughter of Rochel | Nancy Frech: daughter of Louise
Jewette). To those who wish to contact Nancy and Judy
directly, please write to Nancy@ArtKitsEtc.com
and Judy@ArtKitsEtc.com.
Coincidently, Randi Winterman, who’s
responsible for every printed word coming from us,
has just finished a wonderful project related to this
issue. The Bosom Buddies: Friend Feeding Friends
Cookbook celebrates the love and support
that women often dish out in the form of food —everything
from soup to nosh. It has over 250 recipes including
40 recipes from the area’s top restaurants.
Because of a generous benefactor, all sales (not just
the profits, but all sales!) dollars go to build a
Media/Resource Center at the Breast Cancer Coalition
of Rochester. The Center will give people with breast
cancer and their families access to critical, state-of-the-art
information on diagnosis, treatment and survival.
These wonderful cookbooks sell for just $19.95 plus
shipping and handling. And, they make great gifts.
Contact Randi at Randi@ArtKitsEtc.com.
Mah
Hadash (What’s new)?
We are always working on improving our current
products and developing new programs. Here
is what we’ve been working on:
1. We have a new sister company!
http://www.HuppahQuilt.com
is a spin-off our Judaic
Quilt program, developed especially for families
planning a Jewish wedding. Please visit the new site
and tell your soon-to-be married friends about it.
2. We’ve improved the Tzitzit
Practice twine (included in the Tallit
Kit, Tzitzit
Kit, and Tzitzit
Tying Practice Kit) and are now using an 8-ply
spun wool for the practice set. This is the same yarn
used for the actual tzitzit!
3. We’ve improved the Tzitzit
Tying Demonstration Kit replacing the cotton
ropes with nylon ropes. The new ropes are kink-free
and are easier to tie, wrap, untie and re-wrap.
4. We are working on developing a
new Mizrach Kit. If you have any
ideas or information you’d like us to include
in the kit, please send them to us ASAP.

Before the last candle on your Hanukkiah goes
out, be sure to place your Siddur Cover and Passover
programs order. Remember that personalized
Siddur Covers
take about 3-4 weeks to process (longer for special
sizes) and that most Matzah
Bag and Afikoman
Bag orders are typically placed about a month
prior to Passover- making it practically impossible
for us to ship all of them in time. So, help us and
yourself by ordering your Passover programs (minimum
order of 12 Base Kits per program) by February 22nd
and we’ll give you an additional 5% off.
