After
eight years of attending CAJE as an exhibitor/presenter,
it was a special treat to enjoy this year’s
conference simply as an attendee, just as I did before
creating Judaic Art Kits.
I had a fabulous time! I studied with Myrna Teck,
fell in love with Gabe Goldman’s nature walks,
laughed hysterically at a Joel Chazanof’s jokes,
and discovered that Sam Glaser is not only a gifted
performer, but also a spiritually inspiring teacher.
I also had a terrific Havayah in Manhattan's East
Side (followed by an impromptu tour of Lower Manhattan
--with me as a tour guide-- with a group of educators
who never been to the Big Apple before).
Most of all, however, I enjoyed catching up with many
of you and finding out that so many of you actually
read our newsletter.
New,
Illustrated Tzitzit Manual is Here!!!
It took one incredible illustrator, two years to develop,
three people to write it and countless revisions but
it is finally done, and if I may say so myself, it
is gorgeous!
The new Tzitzit Tying Manual contains clear illustrations
for both the Sephardic and Ashkenazi variations, step-by-step,
easy-to-follow instructions and comprehensive information
(everything you always wanted to know about Tzitzit
but were too shy to ask).
It is thanks to the continuing support of our customers
that we’ve been able to embark on such a grand
and costly project.
In gratitude to you, adding this comprehensive guide
into the kits (the Tzitzit Practice Tying Kit, the
Tzitzit Kit, and the Tallit Kits) will not result
in any price increases for these kits.
The
Jewish Compass
Our long-awaited Mizrach/Shivitti kit is almost ready.
It is our first project specifically developed as
an ongoing classroom program because it lends itself
beautifully to Israel/Jerusalem and Tefila curricula.
Regularly priced at just $15, we are now offering
a 50% discount to innovative educators who are willing
to “test-drive” the program and provide
us with feedback so that we can fine-tune the kit
before our national rollout. Interested educators
should call me directly at 1-800-862-3449. This offer
is limited to current availability of test kits, and
may be discontinued at any time without notice.

The
Following Price Changes for Materials are Effective
Now:
As of the beginning of August, we had to increase the
cost of a few items in our catalog:
- The Magic Sizing spray can is now $2
- Cost for additional embroideries (front and/or back)
is now $12 each.
- A Judaic Quilt all-inclusive Square Pack is now $18
- Additional Judaic Quilt Square Pack (non-inclusive)
is now $4.50
New Workshop Pricing for the Upcoming School
Year:
- Yorron’s instruction fee is now $75/hour
- Non-refundable deposit for workshops led by our Master
Teachers is now $500
Price Decrease Decreasing Sales?
A few months ago we announced a price reduction of the
Mezuzah Case kits. To our surprise, sales of this kit
have gone way down since the price decrease. In the
past, whenever we raised prices, sales soared. Are you
trying to tell us something?.
